AVOID CRIME: Make Art, Not Social Media

Avoid crime be home before dark

My solution to avoid crime in my beloved home town of Los Angeles? Always be home before it gets dark outside and the real killers come out. It’s no guarantee, mind you. However being a morning person can slightly increase your odds of survival in the big city.

Work Around the Problem

My solution is to work around the crime just like I used to work my way around rush hour traffic. One way to avoid the murder and mayhem is to recreate and exercise on the isolated beach at Playa del Rey-Dockweiler in the mornings. By avoiding gyms, health clubs and other crowded places, I am increasing my chances of living to see another sunrise.

Live and Don’t Die

I am very excited because in one month I will be turning sixty-five years old. It feels like I have won the battle. Now I will be a senior citizen on Medicare. If anyone gives me any trouble, I will sue them for elder abuse.

avoid crime make art not social media

If you are still creating free content on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter you are giving more money to billionaires who don’t really need your money. Don’t you think it is time for you to take a little money from the billionaires? It is time for people to wake up to the democratizing power of the Internet. Instead of being brainwashed by other people, you can brainwash them with your own blogging platform.

If you are posting on a “free” platform, it is not really free. There is no such thing as free. No free lunch. No free anything and especially no free social media. If you are posting for free you are paying with something else. You are paying with your consciousness and subscribing to belief systems that are good for Facebook but not good for you. You are paying with your life and your soul. Do you know that your life and your soul are two different things?

My life must have meaning

Today I logged out of Facebook. It is too tempting to waste away the pandemic hours with meaningless drivel. I was reacting to my friends posts just to be sociable. I was being false. It felt good to get fed up with social media. I am resolving to put all of my energy into my writing. From now on I will be avoiding crime on Facebook by creating art and posting it here where it belongs. I pay GoDaddy for web hosting and so I get to keep my soul clean.
