Isaac Bryan – Candidate for Assembly District 54 is the only viable candidate who responded to my question.
As a trial paralegal my first analysis of the candidates running for District 54 Assemblyperson was to go with either trial attorney Cheryl Tutt or former Senator Kamala Harris’ assistant Heather Hutt. After experiencing the recent disastrous effects of electing an American President who ran on a platform of “no political experience” it seems logical to now only elect candidates with prior political and/or legal experience. As an attorney, Ms. Turner is held to a higher standard of conduct than a non-attorney, and Ms. Hutt has a direct line to our new Vice-President. However after texting or emailing all three candidates asking if they support Mayor Garcetti’s proposal to temporarily house the homeless in beach parking lots only candidate Isaac Bryan responded to my query.
L.A. Needs Permanent Homeless Solutions and not Temporary Measures
Mr. Bryan responded in detail to my question and accurately pointed out that in the long term it is more expensive to create temporary shelter than to construct permanent housing. Los Angeles does not need a band-aid, we require permanent healing.
Therefore, even though candidate Bryan has less political experience compared to Turner or Hutt, he appears to be more responsive to his community. We need leaders who are hungry to lead and so this blog is recommending that you vote for Isaac Bryan to represent West Los Angeles. So send me some Isaac Bryan for Assembly District 54 promotional displays for my apartment and vehicle!
Federal Judge David O. Carter’s Fascinating 4-20-21 Preliminary Order Re: Housing the Los Angeles Homeless Population
This is one of the most incredibly worded court orders ever posted on this website. The United States District Court normally charges $.08/per page for downloading documents although my PACER account indicates that there will be no charge to my account for this 110 page order. At any rate, here it is free for you to peruse:
