Closing the Book on Kundalini

Kundalini Closure Trip

Coarsegold, California | I just finished the last chapter of Man to Man by Yogi Bhajan.  One of the most important things I learned from Kundalini yoga is to focus much less on the imaginary chakras and more on increasing function of the pituitary and pineal glands. The chakras are visualization tools representing the glands, heart, sex organs, etc. My interest in chakras was inspired by Dr. Paul Allen. I feel like I am putting closure on both chakras and Dr. Allen this weekend.

Man to Man | Finishing Man to Man puts closure on my seven month adventure with Guru Singh, Adarsh Kaur and the Sikhs of Roberson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. It was well worth it, I learned and experienced a lot. Since Yoga West didn’t want to take my cash and sell me some yoga I just came along and took it for myself. I self-initiated myself into the Kundalini Yoga-Sikh religion.

alone time

Back to Goldsmith | Now I am spending the week in the foothills below Yosemite National Park and processing my little closure ritual. You can probably see by my last twenty blogs that I am making my self creatively sick with the Sikh religion. I am a senior citizen with no more money to give to yoga teachers or any other spiritual organizations. Now I am ready to get back to the Infinite Way of Joel S. Goldsmith on YouTube and communion with unadorned reality itself . . . God consciousness.

Character Building

To his credit Mr. Yogi Bhajan influenced me tremendously on the experience of character building. Refining and sophisticating the body with kriyas refines and sophisticates the emotions and the intellect. I am trying to learn to shut the fuck up in life.  I think I can make the world a better place by talking less. Not talking out here in the mountains in the middle of nowhere is easy. When I return to El Segundo on Monday I will be practicing a modified vow-of-silence.  Last week I was reading about Meher Baba taking a vow of silence when he was young and I have been contemplating this ever since.

Silence of Meher Baba

From 10 July 1925, until his death in 1969, Meher Baba was silent.[9][10][87] He communicated first by using an alphabet board and later by unique hand gestures which were interpreted and spoken out by one of his mandali, usually by his disciple Eruch Jessawala.[88] Meher Baba said that his silence was not undertaken as a spiritual exercise but solely in connection with his universal work.

Man’s inability to live God’s words makes the Avatar’s teaching a mockery. Instead of practicing the compassion he taught, man has waged wars in his name. Instead of living the humility, purity, and truth of his words, man has given way to hatred, greed, and violence. Because man has been deaf to the principles and precepts laid down by God in the past, in this present Avataric form, I observe silence.[89]

From 1925 until 1954 Meher Baba communicated by pointing to letters on an alphabet board.
From 1925 until 1954 Meher Baba communicated by pointing to letters on an alphabet board.

Meher Baba often signaled the moment “that he would ‘break’ his silence by speaking the ‘Word’ in every heart, thereby giving a spiritual push forward to all living things”.[90]

When I break My Silence, the impact of My Love will be universal and all life in creation will know, feel and receive of it. It will help every individual to break himself free from his own bondage in his own way. I am the Divine Beloved who loves you more than you can ever love yourself. The breaking of My Silence will help you to help yourself in knowing your real Self.[91]

Meher Baba said that the breaking of his silence would be a defining event in the spiritual evolution of the world.

When I speak that Word, I shall lay the foundation for that which is to take place during the next seven hundred years.[92]

On many occasions Meher Baba promised to break his silence with an audible word before he died,[93] often stating a specific time and place when this would occur,[94] but according to all contemporary accounts, Meher Baba remained silent until his death.[95] His failure to break his silence disappointed some of his followers, while others regarded these broken promises as a test of their faith.[96] Some followers speculate that “the Word” will yet be “spoken”, or that Meher Baba did break his silence but in a spiritual rather than a physical way.[92]

Last night I listed to the most insightful Joel S. Goldsmith tape of my life! This takes place in London, England where Goldsmith is being asked very difficult questions directly from the audience. GOLDSMITH NEVER DOES THIS! (He always reads the questions himself and then answers them)  JSG must have only permitted this because the audience is comprised of upper crust British metaphysical practitioners, most likely Christian Science and Unity superstars of the day.

Spiritual is Not Literal

In this tape JSG explains that a factual human person named Jesus did not exist, bigger than life figures must be created to build a church around. The symbolic spiritual meaning and power is much more important than any gross human level interaction. Christ Consciousness is the seventh heaven of completed consciousness began by Krishna, the first teacher. Christ consciousness is perfected God consciousness in human form, no yoga necessary.

Ten Years After

My kundalini closure means returning to an in-depth experience of JSG once again. It has been ten years since I first experienced JSG through Paul Racci at Agape in Culver City. Thank you God.
