Stephen Hawking Had Motor Neurone Disease
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neurone disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig’s disease is a neuromuscular disease similar to Myasthenia Gravis (MG).
My Provider Denied the Neurologist’s Request for MRI
Yesterday I went to the neurologist for electro magnetic shock measurement of my as-of-yet un-diagnosed motor neurone disease. Dr. Kundi said that my medical provider AltaMed is “playing games” by denying authorization for medical imaging of my neck and that he would resubmit his request for MRI. The testing in his office yesterday was very painful. I even got a blood spot on the shoulder of my t-shirt that looks like an unofficial medical diagnostic badge of certification due it’s perfect symmetrical placement.
Gratitude for the Health that I do Have
I am grateful that I am alive enough to have whatever my new neuromuscular disorder is. In other words I would rather be alive with this pain and limitation than dead with the healthy body that I thought that I had five years ago right before I broke out with shingles and had my first heart attack.
Whatever I have is still undiagnosed and so yesterday after I rambled on to the medical diagnostic technician who performed the shock testing, I kept quiet with the doctor. He said I probably ruptured my bicep and now I realized that I hurt myself in Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training two years ago. In the marathon style torture technique of KYTT I popped my bicep and didn’t even realize it at the time. I just thought my muscles were sore from the grueling nature of the marathon technique. When it happened I was showing my bicep to my Kundalini teachers but they were not responsive because they are trained not to be. It turns out that Kundalini teachers as taught by Yogi Bhajan don’t comment on such matters as mine because they are not allowed to pursuant to the Aquarian Teachers Manual. Yogi Bhajan only taught his students as much as his limited knowledge could take them. If I had of traveled in a different circle I may of had bicep surgery instead of doing nothing.
