The Treason of Albert Pike
We are only half way through 2020 and already I have had so many lies crammed down my throat that it has become necessary to purge a few falsehoods from my system. Last night while viewing the History Channel’s three part epic, “The Hatfields & McCoys”, the treason of Albert Pike weighed heavily on my mind. It is time to address the re-writing of history by Southerners like Devil Anse Hatfield and Albert Pike. The Civil Was was about slavery and not a noble fight for states rights. Maybe the Civil War should be re-branded as the War Against Slavery. Then maybe we need to cancel Albert Pike himself. .
Confederate President Jefferson Davis was jailed for a year for his treason
Most Confederate Civil War generals and politicians were prosecuted and then imprisoned for treason after the South surrendered. Albert Pike was not jailed for his illegal succession from the Union. Perhaps that was a mistake. Maybe escaping punishment emboldened Pike to make further transgressions in his post-war career as the creator of Scottish Rite Freemasonry.
Should Scottish Rite Freemasonry Be Cancelled?
Is the treason of Albert Pike’s rebellion reflected in his racism and plagiarism? Entire sections of Pike’s opus, Morals and Dogma, were boldly plagiarized from Eliphas Levi’s, Clavicules de Salomon. Eliphas Levi in turn, has been criticized as unreliable by modern scholars. In other words, Eliphas Levi made up most of his rituals and dogma! Therefore, Albert Pike plagiarized a liar! If Scottish Rite Freemasonry was invented by a racist plagiarist, what does that mean? Shouldn’t Scottish Rite be pulled down and burned just like the statute of Albert Pike was pulled down and burned?
Will Freemasonry Correct the Wrongs of Albert Pike?
Will the crimes of Albert Pike be addressed by Scottish Rite or Freemasonry during the current Black Lives Matter protests and statute demolitions, or will the Masons remain silent? Will the Freemasons hide and stay silent in the hopes that nothing more happens other than losing the Washington, DC statute of Albert Pike?
Or will the Freemasons courageously address Pike’s racism and plagiarism now, so that the people do not have to storm Masonic Temples and burn them down? It is time for Freemasonry to address the treason of Albert Pike before it is too late.
Degrees 4 through 33 are hereby cancelled
When Freemasons question why young men are not applying to the fellowship in large numbers, two main reasons are cited. Some say that the problem is with the quality of men accepted for initiation and some say it is a problem with Masonic leadership. What if the problem with Freemasonry lies deep within the rituals and dogma created by the infamous Confederate General, attorney, and poet, Albert Pike?
