Holiday in Malibu

Holiday Wednesday

Begining on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving until now I have been suffering from a debilitating case of writers block for one of the very first times in my life.

Writers block

This Thanksgiving weekend it has been eighty degrees on the beach in Malibu.  Living on the beach in Fall and Winter makes life seem like one big holiday weekend. There is hardly anyone there and it is relatively quiet. Winter on Westward Beach on Pt. Dume is paradise.

Summer is a different story and a different beach. During the summer Westward Beach is packed solid and loud with screaming kids. But on this Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the California Dream is alive and well at the beach.

Sexually promiscuous

I’m grateful to be blogging on the beach in California and not getting my chest sawed open during a blizzard in Philadelphia. I ran around naked up and down the beach at Pirates Cove on Thanksgiving Day, but not today. I am beat from yoga class and there are a hundred people on the cliffs above the beach today.

Writers Block

Today on the beach a hip hop producer said that he often returned to old abandoned projects when he had writers block. I do that all the time, lots of writers do that. I’m doing that trick now by returning to this two day old abandoned blog.

Blue Plastic Disposable Razors

The Bay Club Howard Hughes Center has upgraded the quality of the blue disposable razors in the Men’s Locker Room. The new razors have a white lubricating strip like the more expensive cartridge style razors. My compliments to the Bay Club for making my morning shave enjoyable again after I was sexually assaulted for letting the faucet run while waiting for the hot water to hit the sink at 7:15 am on a Saturday morning. Just thinking about shit like that makes my writers block fly right out the door and onto the north runway of LAX.
